Fox has managed several relocation projects for Harvard Planning and Real Estate, including the Holyoke Center renovations, the move of Environmental Health and Safety, and the relocation of University Information Systems to a new building. The Holyoke Center project was a 17-phase renovation in place, involving moves of 600 administrative staff. In conjunction with the architect and contractor, Fox developed the construction phasing schedule, the systems furniture reuse plan, and the move schedule; and planned and managed all of the staff moves. Fox managed the move of the Environmental Health and Safety group to temporary space. Fox assisted the EHS group with furniture reuse planning, IT coordination, the mover RFP process, and move management. Fox developed the phased move schedule, which required continued adjustments due to construction delays. Fox developed the reuse plan for both systems and free-standing furniture, managed all aspects of the staff move, and coordinated the furniture disposition.
Fox was also involved in the relocation of Radcliffe’s Schlesinger Library of Women’s Studies. Fox was engaged to manage the relocation of the library staff and collections to temporary space while the library undergoes a complete renovation.
