Gretchen Fox

Our President, Gretchen Fox is trained and experienced in the field of project management and design, and has managed numerous projects at Fox and other organizations. Because of her extensive experience working in the field, she has an in-depth understanding of what is needed, how to support the team, and how to build an organization dedicated to excellence in project management. Many companies do not offer that advantage.

Gretchen Fox Entrepreneurs have a vision that goes beyond what is, to what could be. When Gretchen Fox founded Fox in 1988, she recognized that company relocations, rather than being viewed as cohesive, strategic opportunities were often handled disparately, resulting in time loss, cost overruns, and unnecessary internal stress.

Gretchen envisioned a company that would work with major businesses to achieve transitions that contributed to their strategic growth. By looking at transitions at the strategic level, she was able to build best-practice methodologies that coordinated all elements of a transition into one cohesive plan, to minimize stress and business disruption and to provide opportunity to leverage positive change through all layers of an organization.

Gretchen Fox attended Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, VA, and earned a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Simmons Graduate School of Management. Before she embarked on her career as one of New England’s leading entrepreneurs, she worked as Director of Administrative Services for Bain & Co. and as a project manager for the law firm of Ropes & Gray. In 2006, Women's Business named Gretchen one of their top 10 bosses.

At The Commonwealth Institute’s 10th Anniversary Gala in October 2007, Gretchen Fox was honored to receive the 2007 Silverman Award, presented to an entrepreneur who demonstrates a commitment to giving back to the community and mentors other women in business.

In 2009, Gretchen Fox was recognized as Project Manager of the Year through CoreNet Global New England Awards of Excellence competition. This award recognizes individuals whose performance and client interactions provide a uniquely valued experience for those with whom they work. The awards recognize innovative service ideas and actions that transcend the expected.

Additionally, Gretchen serves as a member of the Corporate Board of The Commonwealth Institute.
